What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
We do not use contact forms on this site. However, you can leave comments in the way mentioned under “Comments”. Also, there is the possibility of contacting us via e-mail to manuholmer.de. If you do so, website owner Manuela Holmer will receive your message. Please note that the personal data linked to you in your message (e. g. name or subject of writing) will be stored for the time of our interaction.

If you do send an e-mail to us, we will keep the data provided by you (e. g. name or e-mail adress) for the durance of our conversation.
Newsletter
You can sign-in to a free newsletter provided to you by Manu Holmer. After you finish your registration using the so-called double opt-in, you will receive it once or twice a month. Of course, this is free of charge for you.
After you click on the button in the newsletter form, you will receive a confirmation email to the email address you provided during your registration process. In it, you will find an link to activate your subscription. Please click on it to be successfully added to the mailing list. Also note that your transferred data are solely used for sending the newsletter to you. It will contain news, tips, insights and special offers including freebies and adverstisement.
In order to send you the newsletter, the service of the German provider rapidmail is used. Your data will therefore be transmitted to the rapidmail GmbH. The company is not permitted to pass on or sell your data.
The Rapidmail GmbH is a certified newsletter software provider based at Augustinerplatz 2, 79098 Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. It is selected according to the requirements of the GDPR and the BDSG.
You can revoke your registration for the storage and use of your data at any time. One way to do so this is to click the unsubscribe link you will find in each newsletter email.
Cookies

We are using the plugin Sassy Social Share to give you the oppurtinity for sharing our content on Social Media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

YouTube Analytics: As we use YouTube as creators, we are allowed to use YouTube Analytics as well. This tools gives us information about the watch time of our videos as well as how many people have clicked on our content out of a number of viewers. However, we can not relate this information to a certain person.
Pinterest Analytics: As we use Pinterest Business accounts, we are also enabled to use Pinterest Analytics. This tool is provided to us to give a better user experience for you. For example, we can see what pins perform best so we can try to create more of this well appreciated content. However, we are not able to see personalized data such as your age, date of birth or detailed location.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
