Considering the amount of music available, we’ll never be able to play the drums to each and every song out there.
There’s just so much music being released each second.
Considering this, we better make our choices.

Then please answer these questions:
- Which music do you listen to?
- Are there any artists or bands you like the most?
- Do you prefer a certain genre like Rock, Jazz, or Pop?
Feel free to write your answers down as well.
By narrowing down the possibilities you have, making choices becomes much easier.
Here’s a quick example for you:
Let’s say you like to listen to rock music.
AC/DC is always a great pick.
However, you also like to listen to pop music, maybe songs by P!nk.
Now, you can simply start to drum to songs that fit your choices.
You can also ask AI tools like Chat GPT for inspiration, or simply search

- YouTube
- or TikTok
for matches.

It’s Still Too Hard? Feel Free To Learn And Simplify The Drum Score
Being inspired by an awesome drummer is fantastic.
However, her or his drumming might be way too complicated for you.
You just have to wait until you learn the song, right?
Yes and no.
Yes, you can learn something else until you’re really ready to learn a certain song.
However, you don’t have to wait.
After all, you can also simplify the drum part.
You don’t have to play what another drummer already has played in the past.
Of course, you can, and it makes sense.
But you don’t have to.
Just simplify what you’re playing.
You can always change your way of drumming.
In fact, you’re highly likely to do so anyway.
