There’s just so much music being released each second.

Considering this, we better make our choices.

You want to find fun songs to play drums to?

Then please answer these questions:

  • Which music do you listen to?
  • Are there any artists or bands you like the most?
  • Do you prefer a certain genre like Rock, Jazz, or Pop?

Feel free to write your answers down as well.

By narrowing down the possibilities you have, making choices becomes much easier.

Here’s a quick example for you:

It’s Still Too Hard? Feel Free To Learn And Simplify The Drum Score

Being inspired by an awesome drummer is fantastic.

However, her or his drumming might be way too complicated for you.

You just have to wait until you learn the song, right?

Yes and no.

Yes, you can learn something else until you’re really ready to learn a certain song.

However, you don’t have to wait.

After all, you can also simplify the drum part.

You don’t have to play what another drummer already has played in the past.

Of course, you can, and it makes sense.

But you don’t have to.

Just simplify what you’re playing.

You can always change your way of drumming.

In fact, you’re highly likely to do so anyway.

Have fun with that and do what you love.

All the best,

Manu
